Q: Why doesn't the system recognise the postcode I typed in?

A: There are several reasons why valid postcodes may not work:
- Postcodes for locations in Great Britain and Northern Ireland should work, but the Isle of Man and the Channel Isles do not work because we only have a UK postcode list.
- Some valid postcodes are "non-geographical" and do not link to a point on the ground. This is true for P.O. boxes, and note that many big organisations have addresses which are in fact P.O. boxes.
- The postcode may be for a new development and not be included in our current database, although we do try to keep this up to date.
