Milton, a village in Urr parish, Kirkcudbrightshire, 7 miles N by E of Dalbeattie. Milton Loch, 3 furlongs WNW, lies at an altitude of 420 feet; is ¾ mile long, and varies in breadth between 11/3 and 3¾ furlongs; abounds with pike and perch; and sends off a streamlet southward into confluence with Kirkgunzeon or Dalbeattie Burn.Ord.
