Murrayshall, an estate, with a mansion, in St Ninians parish, Stirlingshire, 2¾ miles SW of Stirling. Forming part of the Polmaise property, it includes the western portion of the battlefield of Bannockburn; contains an interesting series of superpositions of rock, from columnar trap near the surface down to bituminous shale at a depth of 157 feet; and has a limestone quarry.Ord.
