Treesbank, a mansion in Riccarton parish, Ayrshire, 2¾ miles S by W of Kilmarnock. It was founded about 1672, when James, second son of Sir Hugh Campbell of Cessnock, obtained the estate from - his father; and it was enlarged in 1838. The present proprietor, Captain George James Campbell - (b. 1832; suc. 1880), holds 1049 acres in the shire, valued at £1882 per annum.Ord. Sur., sh. 22, 1865. See A. H.
