Naseby, par. and vil., Northamptonshire, 7 miles SW. of Market Harborough, 3690 ac., pop. 610; P.O. The vil. was formerly a market town. At Naseby Field, which is on the N. side of the vil., was fought, on the 14th June 1645, the great battle in which Cromwell defeated Charles I. and Prince Rupert. A memorial pillar has been erected upon the battlefield. Naseby Lodge is 2 miles NE. of vil.
