Hedgeley, township and seat, Eglingham par., N. Northumberland, 8 miles NW. of Alnwick, 709 ac., pop. 86; contains the seat of Hedgeley Hall; on H. Moor a skirmish took place (1463) between the Lancastrians and the Yorkists in which Sir Ralph Percy was slain.
