Newcastle.-- seaport town with ry. sta., Kilcoo par., S. co. Down, on Dundrum Bay, 11 miles SW. of Down-patrick, pop. 840; P.O., T.O.; is resorted to for bath-ing. Many of the inhabitants are employed in fishing. The town is finely situated near the base of Slieve Donard mountain.
