Wilmslow, town and par. with ry. sta., Cheshire, on river Bollin, 5 miles SW. of Stockport - par., 8064 ac., pop. 8886; town, pop. 5664; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank, 2 newspapers. The railway here crosses the Bollin on a viaduct of 11 arches. In the town are many good residences. The industries are similar to those of Manchester, Stockport, &c. Wilmslow is a local government district.
