Sefton (or Sephton), par. and township with ry. sta., SW. Lancashire - par. (containing Great Crosby), 12,688 ac., pop. 19,707; township, 1234 ac., pop. 382; the sta. is 6 miles N. of Liverpool. The Liverpool racecourse is here. The par. gives title to the Earl of Sefton.
