Lamlash, vil. with pier, Kilbride par., Arran isl., Firth of Clyde, on Lamlash Bay, 4 miles SE. of Brodick; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank; is a summer and sea-bathing resort, and has regular steamboat communication with Ardrossan, Greenock, &c.; Lamlash Bay, sheltered by Holy Island, forms an excellent natural harbour; Lamlash Lighthouse, on SW. point of Holy Island, is 56 ft. high, with fixed light 46 ft. abovc high water and seen 12 miles.
