Barclosh, a ruined ancient castle in Kirkgunzeon parish, Kirkcudbrightshire, contiguous to a hill of its own name, 1½ mile NE of Dalbeattie. It belonged to Lord Herries, who figured conspicuously in the time of Queen Mary.
