In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Cragganmore like this:
Cragganmore, distillery, Inveravon par., W. Banffshire, on river Avon, adjacent to Ballindalloch ry. sta.
The location is that of the distillery, but is named as "Cragganmore" on the modern 1:50,000 map.
