DRAKE'S ISLAND, or St. Nicholas' Isle, a bold pyramidal rock in Plymouth sound, Devon; 3 furlongs SE of Bottlenose point in Stonehouse. It is about ¼ of a mile in diameter; and is strongly fortified and garrisoned.
