A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described West Poringland like this:
PORINGLAND (Little or West), a parish in Henstead district, Norfolk; contiguous to the W side of Great Poringland. Post-town, Framingham-Earl, under Norwich. Pop., 46. Houses, 11. The manor belongs to the Rev. J. Holmes. The living is a rectory, annexed to the rectory of Howe, in the diocese of Norwich. The church is in ruins.
This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to West Poringland by doing a full-text search here.
