BURLEY-DAM, a chapelry in Acton parish, Cheshire; on the verge of the county, 3½ miles SSE of Wrenbury r. station, and 4½ E by N of Whitchurch. It has a post office under Whitchurch. The statistics are returned with Acton. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Chester. Value, £100. Patron, Viscount Combermere.
