MANNAMEAD, a village in Charles-the-Martyr parish, Devon; 1½ mile NNE of Plymouth.
The location is where the name "Mannamead" appears on the modern 1:25,000 map, and also on the Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 'England - Devon: 123 map of 1867 (http://www.british-history.ac.uk/mapsheet.aspx?compid=55114&sheetid=2536&ox=4527&oy=880&zm=1&czm=1&x=433&y=87, accessed 30 July 2012).
