Monkstown, par. and vil., in co. and 7 miles SE. of Cork, on Cork Harbour - par., 1540 ac., pop. 2472; vil., 2 miles S. of West Passage ry. sta., pop. 381; P.O., T.O.; resorted to for sea-bathing.
