A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
The 1901 census report (County Report, table 12) describes this as 'the area (containing 0.486 acres) which was formerly a detached part of Over', which became part of Marton under the 1882 Divided Parishes Act, 'but was not separated from Winsford Urban District, and therefore became a separate Parish under the provisions of the Local Government Act, 1894.' The 1901 census in fact includes this parish with a similar but somewhat larger area (4 acres) originally part of Marton, as a single row of data, but together they contained neither population nor houses.
