A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
According to the Victoria County History, the medival hundreds of Lamva, Rovelai and Stodfald became known as the three hundreds of Buckingham, and by the early modern period were listed as a single hundred. Anderson (The Hundred Names of the South-Eastern Counties, 1939, p.2) says that the first reference to the combined hundred of Buckingham was in 1255, but Glasscock's listing of the 1334 Lay Subsidy includes three separate hundreds, his Buckingham corresponding closely with the VCH's Lamva.
