A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
The early nineteenth century censuses all list a single Hundred, 'Beaminster and Redhone'. However, Youngs' listing of two separate Hundreds, 'Beaminster' and 'Beaminster Forum and Redhone', is supported by other earlier sources including the 14th century Poll Tax (see C. Fenwick, The Poll Taxes of 1377, 1379 and 1381, vol. 1 (OUP, 1998)). This unit is one of the two separate pre-census Hundreds.
